Cityscape Asia 2010 and Promotion on Sustainable Development of the Chinese Urban Landscape
Cityscape Asia Real Estate Investment and Development Exhibitions are well known large-scale meetings in the field of real estate investment and development in Asia. The conference includes both a professional exhibition and a conference, which focus on process of real estate investment and development. Asia Real Estate Investment and Development Exhibition 2010 (Cityscape Asia 2010) was held in Singapore from 17th to 20th May 2010. In attendance were around 4,000 investors, developers, government department heads, architects, designers, consultants and other senior industry experts in the field of real estate from Asia and around the world.
As an official partner of Cityscape, IMCC elected to invited the government delegations of Fangchenggang Municipality of Guangxi Province and Anyang Municipality of Hunan Province to attend the exhibition. Fangchenggang attended the three-day exhibition and held a promotion on attracting international investment in which it gave an overview of its investment environment. It also used this platform to launch a series of investment and cooperation projects. The vice mayor of Fangchenggang Municipality, Mr. Chen Kemeng, and the vice mayor of Anyang Municipality, Ms. Zhang Manru, also attended the China Urban Leadership Forum, which was given special importance. Mr. Chen and Ms. Zhang had the honor of delivering the keynote speech for this session. In the forum, they laid out plans for the future urban development of Chinese cities, including development and investment policies.
The exhibition also included a summit, an awards ceremony for real estate, a roundtable conference for investors, a dialogue between investors and developers, a promotional platform for projects outside the main exhibition and the China Urban Leadership Forum. It provided the best platform for discovering new clients, looking for partners and discussing the core challenges in real estate investment and development.
The Opening Ceremony
Asia Real Estate Investment and Development Exhibition 2010 (Cityscape Asia 2010) opened at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 18th, 2010. As an official partner of this fair, Executive Director of International Mayors Communication Centre (IMCC) and Secretary-General of the Global Mayor Forum (GMF) council, Ms. Jin Lan, Chairman of the GMF 2010 Organizing Committee, Mr. Hu Shiying, Vice Mayor of Fangchenggang Municipality of China, Mr. Chen Kemeng, and Vice Mayor of Anyang Municipality of China, Ms. Zhang Manru were participants in the opening ceremony.

The Urban Leadership Forum
During the fair in Singapore, the IMCC and Cityscape also held an “Urban Leadership Forum” on May 19th, 2010. The vice mayor of Fangchenggang City, Mr. Chen Kemeng and the vice mayor of Aayang City, Ms. Zhang Manru delivered speeches guest speakers. The forum attracted a dozen of the top investors, developers, and designers to the seminar. After the forum, the two guest speakers joined the roundtable conference with visitors to discuss Chinese urban characteristics, development planning, and investment policies.

The "Sustainable Development of the Chinese Urban Landscape"--The Investment Promotion Meeting of Fangchenggang
During the fair on May 18th, 2010, “Sustainable Development of Chinese Cities”, the Investment Promotion Meeting of Fangchenggang was successfully held by Fangchenggang Municipal People’s Government with the cooperation of the IMCC at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Fangchenggang’s Vice Mayor, Mr. Chen Kemeng attended and made a speech at the meeting. There were about 50 senior executives from prominent investment institutions such as Australian National Bank, International Nederlanden Group (ING), Singapore Pacific Star Group, Singapore KOP Group, Singapore Keppel Land Corporation and AVIVA Asia Pacific in attendance. The attending investment institutions showed a strong interest in the Fangchenggang investment projects. Many of the investors in attendances made clear their investment intentions with regard to one or more of the presented projects. In the promotional meeting, Fangchenggang held a corporate signing ceremony with Singapore enterprises formalizing the agreements that were reached on the ASEAN Agricultural Trade and Logistics Centre Project and the Fangchenggang Grain Processing Project. These agreements amounted to around $120 million in investment.
