Kashgar Delegation Participated in Cityscape Global

 

One of the most influential business-to-business real estate development and investment events, Cityscape Global 2010 was again successfully held in Dubai International Exhibition Centre on 4th-7th October. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), attended the exposition. This year’s event has brought together around 40,000 visitors from more than 115 countries to participate in the event.

As one of the partner organizations of IMCC, Cityscape had successfully held eight consecutive expositions in Dubai, this year’s being the ninth. Over the four days of the Cityscape Global expo, industry professionals collaborated by creating alliances and partnerships to further economic development in the spirit of globalization and interdependence. As the global strategic partner of Cityscape, IMCC supports Cityscape events and 2010 was no exception. The 2010 Global Mayors Forum Steering Committee invited the Kashgar delegation to the event. Members of this delegation include: Aikebaier Seoul, Vice Secretary of Kashgar Prefectural Committee and Administrative Office Special Commissioner of Kashgar Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Mehmet Emin Bekri, Mayor of Kashgar, Lu Zhendi, Vice Mayor of Kashgar and Jia Weidong, Director of Kashgar Tourism Department.

Since the ratification by China’s Central Government setting up Kashgar as Special Economic Zone (SEZ), development in Kashgar has drawn the attention of the world community. The rising city of Kashgar and well-established city of Dubai share many qualities. The participation of Kashgar in Cityscape Global will undoubtedly spur bilateral exchanges and encourage cooperation with global investors, developers and urban management experts to stimulate development in Kashgar.
