Mr.Gordon Feller
 


Since 1983, Gordon Feller has been working to change the way that cities work -- how they govern themselves, how they partner with the business sector, how they collaborate with NGOs and international agencies, how they are led, and how they plan for a more sustainable future.

As a consultant, Feller has a client list featuring many prominent non-profits, for-profits and government agencies, including the World Bank Institute, McGraw Hill, Reuters, Bechtel, BP Amoco, UCLA, HP/Compaq, Lockheed, Apple Computer, IBM, Phelps Dodge, Digital Equipment Corp, AT&T, Reuters, Chevron Texaco, UNESCO, City University of New York/College of Staten Island, the Governor of Ohio, The Center for International Education, PLATTS and The Financial Times of London.

Of the numerous non-profit sector projects which Feller has conceived and managed, many have received funds from grant-makers including the Rockefeller Family Associates, Johnson Foundation, Tides Foundation, ARK Foundation, and Compton Foundation. Corporate sponsors who have supported his projects include Microsoft, Oracle, Citigroup, Orrick Herrington and Sutcliffe, Electric Power Research Institute, Hewlett Packard and JP Morgan.

In his capacity as the Urban Age Institute's Chief Executive, Gordon serves as Executive Editor of Urban Age Magazine. Over the course of 25 years, more than 400 of Feller's articles, commentaries and editorials have appeared in such places as The Houston Chronicle, The San Francisco Chronicle, Thomson Research, Defense Times, Cahners, The Journal of Commerce, European Business, The Financial Times of London, Space News, European Power, Washington Report, Time Magazine's "Asia Week", IBM Magazine, Euro Money, Pearsons, Economist Group, The New York Times Magazine Group, Columbia University Magazine, European Power, Global Business, International Investor, Defense News, Asia Times, International Fund Investment and Space Times.

Feller has lectured at a wide variety of institutions, including the United Nations, World Business Academy, Semiconductor Industry Association, Electronic Industries Association, American Electronics Association, SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment & Materials Industry Association), World Future Society, University of Pittsburgh Katz School, Wharton School, Pennsylvania State University, United Nations University and Columbia University.

Gordon Feller holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, cum laude, from Columbia College of Columbia University, and a Master's degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, also cum laude. Feller was also Phi Beta Kappa and the recipient of numerous fellowships and scholarships, both as an undergraduate and a graduate student: Dean's Fellow; New York State Governor Lehman Fellow, Columbia University; Fellowship awarded by Ripon Society (Washington, DC) and United States Senator Mark Hatfield; Fellowship awarded by Club of Rome/Initiative for East-West Cooperation; Fellowship awarded by German Marshall Fund of the United States; and Wallach Fellowship in World Order Studies from Columbia University.
