●Project description
This project is located at the south end of the west pier in west port area of Rizhao (shijiu) Port. The wharf is 535 metres long, which can be used to construct a 50000-ton berth and a 70000-ton berth. The designed annual handling capacity is 6.6 million tons. It is equiped with the supporting facilities’ constructions of road, power, telecommunication, water supply and drainage and fire fighting. The total land area of the wharf project covers 1.15 million m2, of which the store yard covers 1.1million m2. The construction period is about 24 months.

In recent years, the demand for cokes is increasing continuously with a high-speed increasing development of steel production. The hinterland around Rizhao Port is the leading coke production base in China. It is predicted that the throughput capacity of coke in Rizhao Port can reach 6.6-8 million tons from 2010 to 2015.
