On the afternoon of Oct 19, 2009, Ms. Zhang Manru, Deputy Mayor of Anyang Municipal People's Government and several Anyang's government officials called on the International Mayors Communication Centre (IMCC). Ms. Jin Lan, Executive Chairman of IMCC and Secretary General of Global Mayors Forum warmly welcomed Ms. Zhang and the delegation. Both sides had friendly and deep conversation on the potential cooperation in new energy and culture industry.

Ms. Jin Lan met with Ms. Zhang Manru and the government officials of Anyang. 

Ms. Zhang Manru provided the basic introduction of the city of Anyang to Ms. Jin Lan. Anyang is a famous cultural city with over 3000 years' history in the north of Henan province, China. The city is also the main birthplace of Chinese civilization. As one of the eight ancient capitals of China, Anyang not only owns the World Heritage Site—Yinxu Museum, but also is regarded as the hometown of Chinese word, Oracle and the birthplace of Zhou Yi, one of the oldest of the Chinese classic texts. Today, with the continuous economic development, Anyang has become the most important heavy industry and comprehensive economic center of Henan province.

Ms. Jin Lan praised the great achievement of Anyang and made brief introduction of IMCC. Ms. Jin Lan mentioned that IMCC had established long-term steady cooperation with many foreign and domestic investing organizations in these years. IMCC and Anyang could make good use of each other's resources in the future. It is for sure that in the coming days, both parties could get cooperation agreement in certain projects, and worked together to enhance new energy in Anyang's culture and economic fields.

Ms. Jin Lan and Ms. Zhang Manru had further discussion on new energy and culture industry development. They agreed that it was so important to make more efforts on new energy and culture industry development to prompt urban sustainable development. They would like to try the best to make this cooperation come true as soon as possible.

The director of Anyang's Bureau of Commerce Mr. Niu Ruiqing, the governor of Wenfeng district of Anyang Mr. Zhang Congzhi, the director of High-tech Development Zone of Anyang Mr. Zhong Ping also presented this meeting.
